Visitors

The Visitors module enables you to capture zero-party data about users who visit your campaign sites before they sign up for your program. Data is shared between sites to build a complete profile of the user journey prior to registration.

Stages of the user journey

The users who interact with your campaign can be grouped into four segments, depending on where they are in the customer journey with you. These stages are represented on the 'Overview' tab of the Visitors module.

  1. Stage 1 – Device ID Only: Users where only their device ID has been captured. This will typically be because they visited your site without providing any details.

  2. Stage 2 – Partial Data: Users who have provided some of their details, but not all the details you are tracking. This will typically occur if you have multiple campaign sites running which capture different details, but the user has only interacted with one.

  3. Stage 3 – Full Data: Users who have provided all of their details for the points you are tracking.

  4. Stage 4 – Visitor Converted: Users who have signed up to your program as full members. They will have a corresponding profile in the Members section of the Console. If your campaign doesn't have a membership element then users will not show in this segment.

Sessions

Each time a user visits your site details about their session are recorded. This data is grouped together based on the device ID or user data. This allows you to capture a number of data points before a user provides any of their details.

  • Number of visits – you can see how many times individual devices/users are visitings your campaign sites.

  • Which site was visited – see the popularity of your individual campaign sites.

  • IP address/approximate location – build a geographical picture of your visitors.

  • Browser – which browser are visitors using.

  • Device type – are they using a desktop or mobile device.
